Public Market in Pasig City yesterday (8/11/05). De Castro observed
that prices of basic goods and prime
commodities were relatively stable except for certain off-season vegetables
and galunggong.

PRO-MILK,
PRO-STABLE PRICES—Vice President Noli ‘Kabayan’ De Castro
displays two cans of
stable-priced milk during his palengke tour at the Mutya ng Pasig Public Market in Pasig
City yesterday. Prices of basic goods and
prime commodities remained relatively stable as of yesterday except
for certain off-season vegetables and galunggong.
THEY’RE
NOT FROM BAGUIO - Vice President Noli ‘Kabayan’ De Castro takes a look at
the prices of tomatoes being sold at
the vegetable section of the Mutya ng Pasig Public Market during his
palengke tour yesterday. Prices of
tomatoes rose by P4 to P52 from P48 per kilo in a week’s time because
they were sourced from Mindanao and not from
Baguio, which is currently having a
difficult time taking its vegetables down to Metro Manila due to
bad weather. Accompanying De Castro during the
activity was Pasig Mayor Enteng Eusebio
(with glasss and jacket).
