VP NOLI INSPECTS LPG REFILLING
STATIONS.  Vice President Noli “Kabayan” De Castro examines a Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) tank to determine if it satisfactorily complied with the quality standard specification. Departments of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Energy (DOE) inspectors examined the OMNI Gas refilling station, during a surprise inspection yesterday in Pasig City. Also present were DOE Sec. VP NOLI CONDOLES WITH YORAC’S FAMILY
.  Vice President Noli “Kabayan” De Castro extends his condolences to Mrs. Josefa Yorac, mother of the late Haydee Yorac, and her entire family.  De Castro attended the wake of the former Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG) chief yesterday at the Sanctuario de San Antonio in Makati City. The Vice President described Haydee Yorac as a valuable and exemplary public servant. (9/20/05)




Vice President and Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) concurrent chairman Noli ‘Kabayan’ de Castro presented a check to landowners Mr. Raul and Mrs. Remedios Vicencio, as payment for their property in Villa Beatriz, Brgy. Matandang Balara in Quezon City. The Vicencio property was converted into lots for distribution to qualified beneficiaries under the Community Mortgage Program (CMP). VP NOLI AT ASIAN CREDIT UNION FORUM -- Vice President and concurrent Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council chairman Noli "Kabayan" de Castro receives a plaque of appreciation from Dr. Augustine K. Lim, president of the Association of Asian Confederation of Credit Unions (ACCU) during a big gathering of credit unions from all over Asia. De Castro, in underlining the role of the local cooperatives in enhancing the prospects of housing microfinance, revealed the two pilot housing projects aimed at providing shelter security and livelihood opportunities to urban poor families: the development of poor urban communities project & the strategic private sector partnership for urban poverty reduction. UNDERSCORES IMPORTANCE OF COOPERATIVE MOVEMENTS TO ECONOMIC DEV’T. Vice President Noli "Kabayan" de Castro delivers his keynote address during Asian Credit Union Forum at Dusit Hotel in Makati City. Vice President De Castro noted that local cooperative movements, in reasonably following the practices of credit unions in other parts of the world, were able to provide at the grassroot levels mechanisms for economic development and thus pave way or people-centered development.

The 21-Suterville members and Community Mortgage Program (CMP) beneficiaries received their land titles after fully paying their CMP dues to the NHMFC. VP NOLI PAYS TRIBUTE TO THE LATE SENATOR SUMULONG. Vice President Noli "Kabayan" De Castro speaks before relatives and friends of the late Sen. Lorenzo Sumulong on the occasion of the senator’s 100th birth anniversary. De Castro paid tribute to Sumulong last Friday, as he referred to the late senator as one of the country’s leaders who truly possessed integrity and honor. VP NOLI AT REGIONAL MDG2 REPORT LAUNCHING — Vice-President Noli ‘Kabayan’ De Castro welcomes delegates to the launching of the Regional MDGII Report at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Ortigas, Pasig City yesterday. De Castro lauded the ADB, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the UN Economic and Social Commission forAsia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) for providing substantial and meaningful assistance to the countries in Asia and the Pacific as they strive to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). (FFCCCI), and the Northville 6 Realty for the proposed school intended for the children of ex-informal settlers who are now residing at the Santol resettlement site in Balagtas, Bulacan. SCHOOL FOR EX - INFORMAL SETTLERS’ CHILDREN — Vice-President and Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) concurrent chairman Noli ‘Kabayan’ De Castro leads the groundbreaking and time capsule laying ceremonies yesterday for the proposed construction of school for children of former informal settlers at the Santol relocation site in Balagtas, Bulacan. Seen with De Castro are (L to R) Balagtas mayor Reynaldo Castro, and officials of the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. namely Francis Chua, president, Henry Ah, vice-president, and Enrique Chua, chairman of FFCCCI’s Welfare Committee.
