HOUSING FOR EMPLOYEES URGED. Vice President and concurrent Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) chairman Noli ‘Kabayan’ De Castro delivers his keynote address during the 27th National Conference of the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) at the Manila Hotel. De Castro encouraged employers to provide housing for their employees, as this will contribute to employment stability, industrial peace, and ultimately to national development. From left: Atty. Vice President and concurrent HUDCC chair Noli ‘Kabayan’ De Castro leads the Kalinga Special Housing Project launching in Camp Macabulos, San Vicente, Tarlac City.  De Castro urged Tarlac policemen to cherish and safeguard the housing opportunity presented them by the combined efforts of the government and the private sector represented by the Gawad Kalinga. MOA signing by HUDCC, DOF and partner agencies. Preparations for the housing project in San Miguel, Bulacan are underway after the recent signing of the Memorandum of Agreement by the Housing and Urban Coordinating Council, headed by Vice President Noli “Kabayan” De Castro and the Department of Finance with partner agencies for the project, namely, the National Housing Authority, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and the Manila Banking Corporation.  The housing project is intended to benefit government employees, teachers and the police force. Vice President Noli ‘Kabayan’ De Castro delivers his keynote address during the induction program and first membership meeting of the Government Association of Certified Public Accountants (GACPA) yesterday at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Pasay City, De Castro encouraged government CPAs to practice the norms of good governance and to stay on in public service despite their low pay. VP NOLI WITH KUWAIT’S NATIONAL ASSEMBLY. Vice President Noli "Kabayan" De Castro relays to the members of the National Assembly of the State of Kuwait headed by Hon. Abdul Wahed AL-AWADI (third from left) the Philippine diplomatic request for clemency for OFW Marilou Ranario, who was sentenced to death by hanging for the killing of her Kuwaiti employer. The members of Kuwaiti Parliament paid the Vice President a courtesy visit last month and also discussed the strengthening of the Philippine-Kuwait relations. VP NOLI REITERATES APPEAL TO KUWAIT. Vice President Noli "Kabayan" De Castro welcomes Hon. Abdul Wahed AL-AWADI, head of the National Assembly of the State of Kuwait. During the courtesy visit of the members of the Kuwaiti Parliament, De Castro reiterated the Philippine government’s plea to Kuwait to spare the life of overseas Filipino worker Marilou Ranario from execution whose case is now pending before the Kuwaiti appellate court.
