PGMA AND VP NOLI AT THE LAUNCHING OF NORTHVILLE COMMUNITIES.  President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and Vice President and concurrent Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council  chairman Noli "Kabayan" De Castro lead the program launch of eight Northville Communities in Balagtas, Bulacan. During the event, President Arroyo and Vice President De Castro raffled off eight tricycles and various livelihood and household showcases for the lucky relocatees. The Northville Communities are the resettlement sites provided by the government for families from Metro Manila and Bulacan affected by the North Rail Development Project. Present were (from left) Rep. Ed Zialcita (partly hidden) Secretary Roberto Pagdanganan, Rep. Neneng Nicolas, Rep. Willie Alvarado, (VP, PGMA) Balagtas Mayor Reynaldo Castro, Guiguinto Mayor Ambrosio “Boy” Cruz and Malolos Mayor Danilo Domingo (10/30/05).

AT THE LEYTE GULF LANDING. Vice President Noli "Kabayan" De Castro leads national and local government officials in commemorating the 61st Anniversary of the Leyte Gulf Landings in Palo, Leyte. With the Vice President onstage were (seated from left) Leyte Vice Gov. Ma. Mimietta S. Bagulaya; Maj. James Norcross, US Embassy defense attaché, Rep. Remedios L. Petilla; and Leyte Gov. Carlos Jerico L. Petilla. In his speech, Vice President De Castro expressed optimism that cooperation among Filipinos and Americans would win the global war against poverty and terrorism for they are armed with powerful principles and superior spirit. Vice President Noli “Kabayan” De Castro with Dept. of Trade and Industry Secretary Peter Favila question the owner of a commodity store where the DTI officials discovered that the milk products were being sold P4 to P5 higher than the usual price, during a  surprise visit at Karuhatan Market in Valenzuela. De Castro yesterday urged the Valenzuela local government to strictly enforce the Price Tag Law so as to protect consumers from opportunistic traders and businessmen in the locality. REPRESENTS PRESIDENT GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO.
Vice President Noli ‘Kabayan’ De Castro read the message of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo for Leyteños on the occasion of the 58 th Charter Anniversary of the city of Ormoc. President Arroyo had to leave for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Thursday afternoon for the burial of Endon Mahmood, Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi's wife who died earlier in the day due to breast cancer. The message was read by the Vice President at the Ormoc City Superdome. (10/21/05)
