VP NOLI WITH CZECH
SENATE PRESIDENT — Vice President Noli
‘Kabayan’ De Castro met with visiting members of the Czech Republic headed by their Senate
President Premysl Sobotka during their courtesy call at the Office
of the Vice President in Pasay City recently. Sobotka exchanged
socio-economic and political views with the Vice President, who himself
was a former Senator. Later on, De Castro thanked the Czech delegation
for visiting Manila and urged them to invite their countrymen to visit

KABAYAN PLDT CUP. Vice President
Noli "Kabayan" De Castro
presents the winning trophy to Don Antonio Florendo, owner of the
winning horse Silver Music, for winning the Kabayan PLDT cup at San Lazaro Leisure Park
in Carmona Cavite last Sunday March 19, 2006. The proceeds from the
horseracing event will go to the scholarship fund for poor deserving

winning horse Absolute Charmer at the Kabayan Charity cup at San Lazaro

NOLI WITH OFWS IN KUWAIT.
Vice President Noli “Kabayan” De Castro meets with some members
of the Filipino community in Kuwait,
discussing the various problems
and concerns the OFWs face including a system of repatriation for
runaways. De Castro went to Kuwait and led the Philippine delegation
in seeking the help of Kuwait’s new Emir in saving the life of
overseas Filipino worker, Marilou Ranario who was earlier sentenced
to death by hanging for the killing of her Kuwaiti employer. (03/09/06)

Al-Jaber Al-Sabah last Monday (March 6). The Vice President
likewise
successfully obtained the Emir’s assurance that he will do his best to
save the
life of OFW Marilou Ranario. Ranario is currently appealing a death
sentence by
a Kuwaiti lower court. (03/08/06)

“Kabayan” De Castro leaves for Kuwait
to lead the Philippine delegation in seeking the help of Kuwait’s new Emir in saving the life of
overseas Filipino worker, Marilou Ranario who was earlier sentenced to
death by hanging for the killing of her Kuwaiti employer. Included in
the high level delegation are Ambassador Amable Aguiluz, Chief State
Prosecutor Jovencito Zuño, Foreign Affairs Undersecretary
Esteban Conejos and OWWA Deputy Administrator Angelo Jimenez. Seeing
the Vice President off are Dept. of Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto
Romulo and DFA Executive Director for Migrant Workers Affairs Pedro
