VP NOLI’S NEW
YEAR’S MESSAGE
31 December 2005
As we welcome
2006, I share with every Filipino the hope of another new beginning. I join the
whole nation in looking
forward to many changes that will improve the life of our countrymen. Let us
continue our country's quest
for unity, progress and development. Truly, I am confident that the
Filipino people has what it
takes to overcome all obstacles towards prosperity and national renewal. The past years, including 2005,
were indeed trying times.
Difficult as they may have been, the years past have not broken our spirit but
instead, they have served to
bring out the best in the Filipino. Because of the unwavering faith of the Filipino
people in our democratic way
of life and the ideals enshrined in our Constitution, we have great reason to
hope for better things to come
in 2006.
Sa patnubay
ng ating Panginoon at pangunguna ng ating pamahalaan, nawa’y pag-ibayuhin nating
lahat ang pagsisikap na
mapabuti ang ating kalagayan. Huwag tayong maging makasarili. Bagkus,
ating isaalang-alang ang
ikabubuti ng ating kapwa at
nakararaming mga kababayan, lalong-lalo na ang mga mahihirap.
The year 2006
ushers in new challenges that would further test our character as a people.
Guided by Divine
Providence, I am confident that the challenges we will jointly face will only make the
bond among us stronger.
And after these ordeals, we can expect the real Filipino identity to emerge, one
that our generation can be
proud of.
Finally, let
us remember to thank the Almighty God for all the blessings He has showered on the
Filipino family. May we
always remember to look up to Him for inner strength and inspiration for He has
never turned down nor refused
to hear the Filipino people’s
prayers, especially in our times of need.
Malugod
kong binabati ang lahat ng Pilipino dito sa ating bansa maging sa buong
mundo. Nawa’y magtulungan tayo at magkaisa para sa isang makabuluhan at
maunlad na Bagong Taon!!!
