VP DE CASTRO COMMITTED TO EARLY RESOLUTION OF ELECTORAL PROTEST

Vice President Noli ‘Kabayan’ De Castro reaffirmed his firm commitment to undertake and support steps in order to hasten the resolution of the case pending before the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET).

 Atty. Jesse H.T. Andres, chief of staff of VP De Castro, stated that these steps included agreeing with the suggestion of Legardas lawyers for the conduct of a second preliminary conference scheduled Tuesday and the use, in part, of the election returns as basis for the recount instead of the usual tedious recount of ballots.

Panatag kami sa malinis na pagkapanalo ni Bise Presidente Noli de Castro noong nakaraang halalan. We are certain that the Vice President was not involved in any electoral fraud.
