Addressing Housing concerns
keeps VP Noli busy
UNFAZED
by the cloudy political weather in the country, Vice President and
concurrent Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC)
Chairman Noli ‘Kabayan’ De Castro kept himself busy performing
his task as implementor of the national shelter program as he visit
three separate housing projects due for groundbreaking in Cavite
yesterday.
In
the first housing project he visited, De Castro lauded a Taiwanese
developer for investing in a 300-unit housing project in Baranggay
Manggahan, Trece Martires City.
“This
is a positive development for our housing program. Through this
project, the country’s housing requirement was lessened by 300
units and that’s significant. I hope more projects of this kind
would follow,” De Castro told local officials, the developer and
the new homeowners of the Tsarinas Grand Villas.
Tsarinas
Grand Villas is currently being developed by the First Solid Property
Development Corp. headed by Lawrence She. The project is a
beneficiary of the Developmental Loan Program implemented by the Home
Development Mutual Fund (HDMF or Pag-IBIG fund).
As
a developer, she responded that their firm remains confident in the
prospects of housing in the country and the competence of the leaders
behind the industry. He also thanked Pag-IBIG, one of the key shelter
agencies (KSAs) under HUDCC, for being an effective partner of First
Solid in its undertaking.
From
Trece Martires City, De Castro proceeded to Baranggay Buena Vista 2
in General Trias to lead in the groundbreaking of the Tahanang Yaman
Homes, a 2,190-unit socialized housing project developed by the
Tahanang Yaman Homes Corporation which is also in partnership with
Pag-IBIG.
There,
he urged officials to continue supporting to the national housing
thrust, saying it’s only through the cooperation between the
housing leaders and the mayors as well as baranggay captains that the
shelter program can truly succeed.
“Nagagalak
Aguinaldo at Gen. Trias kahit sa kabilang buhay dahil sa pagusbong ng
pabahay dito sa Cavite,” he said.
A
warm welcome likewise greeted De Castro upon his arrival in Camachile
Subdivision, Barangay Pasong Camachile, Gen. Trias where the Vice
President distributed certificates of ownership to the new
homeowners.
