ON THE ISSUE OF POSSIBLE IMPEACHMENT OF GMA

What our country needs at this point is for everybody to be sober and to unite in promoting the rule of law and in preserving our democracy.  Hindi nakakatulong ang maniwala sa mga espekulasyon.  Let us not allow ourselves to be affected by talks of destabilization and impeachment as these will not do any good for our country, especially our economy.  It is each citizen’s duty to work for our political stability.   As Vice President, I affirm my loyalty to our country and our people and pledge my allegiance to our Constitution and its duly constituted authorities. 

 

Maging mahinahon po tayong lahat at ipagpatuloy ang pagkakaisa sa pagkamit ng kapayapaan, kaayusan at kaunlaran dito sa ating bayan.  Let us focus our energy on things that redound to the benefit of our nation. 

 

 

ON THE ISSUE OF RETURNING TO RADIO:

 

Serbisyo publiko po ang aking isinaalang-alang sa mahigit na 20 taon kong pagiging brodkaster at sa pagpasok ko sa mundo ng pulitika at gobyerno. It is the same consideration for public service that convinced me to return to the airwaves. Naniniwala ako na ang programang “Para sa iyo…Bayan”, tuwing Sabado ng umaga, na tatalakay sa mga iba’t ibang isyung kinakaharap ng bansa, ay isang epektibong paraan ng pagsisilbi sa bayan.  This is one of the faster ways to do public service.  Ang bagong programang ito sa radyo ay hindi salungat kung hindi ay pagpapatuloy ng aking mga tungkulin at pananagutan bilang Pangalawang Pangulo.
